Name: Jeanne d'Arc (Alter)
Epithets: The Dragon Witch, The Witch of Vengeance, Jalter
Class: Avenger
Artist: Takashi Takeuchi
Voice: Maaya Sakamoto
She's Jeanne d'Arc, yet she's also not Jeanne d'Arc. While other Alter forms of Servants are alternate versions of them, usually forms consumed by vengeance or their own darkness, Jeanne Alter is the concept of Jeanne born from Gilles de Rais' belief of how she should be; she is Gilles' wish upon the Holy Grail for a Jeanne that would be just as enraged and distraught about her death as he was. As such, she's furious she was martyred, refuses to believe there is a god, eschews friendship and kindness in favor of brutality and callousness, and seeks revenge on her once beloved France for allowing her to die.
Towards her Master, she's curt, brusque, and bitter. Even still, the "Da Vinci and The 7 Counterfeit Heroic Spirits" event shows her inner insecurities and softness buried under her negative feelings, as one of her deepest wishes is to be wanted and needed...especially if it's by people she finds attractive. You might even call her a tsundere, at your own caution.
Jeanne Alter possesses the power to summon and control dragons and cast fire. It's believed she can do this to put her at odds with the idea of saints subduing or driving away dragons. Her Noble Phantasm, Le Grondement de la Haine, is fueled by grudges and casts her opponents into scorching flames as they're pierced by lances.
Unlike Jeanne, it seems she can write as well. And draw, as her Berserker form is an edgelord who wants nothing more than to have people read her doujin work.
